In this podcast, Jamie Morris, Executive Director and General Counsel of the Missouri Catholic Conference, talks to Brandy Meeks, President of the Vitae Foundation about the role and responsibility of men in the abortion process and debate.
In Vitae Foundation’s latest study on abortion they discovered that men feel like they do not have a say in the abortion of their child. Ms. Meeks stated, “Men absolutely should have a right and a say in this conversation. Culture has become so conditioned to think that this is normal for men to feel like they don't have a say when it comes to the life or death decision of their child. And that is why we have to get our messaging in to change the culture.”
Vitea is a research organization with a worldwide impact. Their focus is on consumer and emotional research. Vitea attempts to understand why people do what they do, and the emotions that drive and motivate them.
Brandy states, “The emotional research helps us understand what people think and feel about abortion, especially women who are in their ‘now’ moment with regards to pregnancy and abortion. Latest studies have been focused on men. Want to understand how people think about this issue so we can create a future where abortion is unthinkable.”
